MORGANS IN ACTION PROGRAM
The program is designed to encourage members to get out and participate in activities with your Morgan horse. We ask that you keep track of the number of activities that you participate in with your Morgan horse, and email the report to Marcy Jordan at buffyjordan@yahoo.com.
She will keep a record of your activities involving your Morgan horse, from June 1, 2011 through June 1, 2012. Activities that count could include horse shows, lessons, trail rides, parades, clinics, CDEs, demonstrations, drill teams, education days, and almost anything else you do with your Morgan, except time riding or schooling alone.
The HOTMHC member logging the most time out and about with their Morgan(s) will be presented the Award at our annual Summer Meeting!!
Now, get out there and show the world what your Morgan can do!
Don’t Forget to turn your Morgan In Action Activities in to Marcy!
2011 Winners Announced
Hi all,
I am very happy to announce the 2011 "HOTMHC Morgan in Action" award winners. These club members not only showed their Morgans of in public several times during the year, they also took the time to track their hours and send them in to me!
Marriette Curnett-Zutter took the first place award. She took several horses to a total of 19 different events, from clinics and lessons, to shows, to search-and-rescue training sessions. Many of the events were overnight occasions, We're happy to have Mariette out there showing the world what great and versatile horses Morgans are. Mariette gets a leather halter with a plaque, and a $50 gift certificate from Dover.
Ashley Mitchell takes home the second place prize, a $25 gift certificate from Dover. She took her Morgan mare, Lily, to some open shows, but also impressed the heck out of some Quarter Horse fans, by participating in cattle working get-togethers. How's that for Morgan versatility?
Start keeping track of the events you attend so you can be in the running for the 2012 prize. The competition runs from June to June. I know there are A LOT of you out there fox hunting and trailriding. Get those hours in to me, and win!
Hope to hear from you all soon,
Marcy Jordan
